Great choices! Kevin Henkes is by far my favourite and I am sure our daughters have truly enjoyed getting to know the Lilly’s and Olivia. You are doing a fantastic job with your posts.

Thanks Carolyn. I do adore these books but it’s definitely hard to choose a small selection of favourites. I’d love to hear yours. It’s so interesting to know what books impact other people. I think we don’t realize the impact picture books have on children of all ages and grown ups as well. Thank you for your lovely comments.

Wow Jody,

What a fabulous idea for your daughter’s bedroom. The closest thing I’ve done was a “Lord of the Rings” bedroom for one of my sons… unfortunately we have since moved and I’ve not done anything like that in our newer house.

You’ve really outdone yourself with this post. I love seeing some of my favourites on your list BUT you’ve listed a few titles that I’ve never read. This is not good – I hate to think that I’ve missed some “Top Ten” contenders. Will have to check them out… and work on my own list.
